Anna Ritchie is a creative director, storyteller, and the heart behind Ninja & Rio’s Adventures. Blending imagination with emotional learning, she creates stories that help children navigate honesty, forgiveness, courage, and the everyday magic of growing up.

The idea for Ninja and Rio was born from Anna’s own two very real parrots, who live with her and fill her home with personality, mischief, and endless inspiration. Their quirks, their bond, and their journey from rescue to family became the spark that ignited this entire series. Through them, Anna discovered how animals can teach us about empathy, trust, and second chances, and she brings those lessons into every story she writes.

With a background in both creative direction and operational leadership, Anna brings a rare mix of artistry and precision to her work. She oversees every detail of the Ninja & Rio world — from character design and illustration direction to the emotional beats that shape each scene. Her passion lies in crafting stories that feel playful, comforting, and meaningful for young readers and the adults who guide them.

Inspired by real-life moments and the universal challenges children face, Anna writes with warmth, humor, and a deep belief that stories can help kids feel seen, supported, and brave. Ninja & Rio’s Adventures is her debut series, created to spark conversations about feelings, choices, and the power of doing the right thing.

When she’s not building new adventures for Ninja and Rio, Anna is helping organizations navigate complex payroll and compliance challenges — proving that creativity and structure can coexist beautifully.

She lives in Australia with her two beloved parrots, who continue to inspire new stories filled with heart, color, and a touch of magic.
